Want more space at home?

A report shows that 65% of the UK's working population were forced to change their place of work as a result of the pandemic and 79% want to continue some form of remote working in the future. The evaluation also indicates that additional home space is on the wish list for a number of people. If you're looking to make the most of the space you have, or alternatively looking at ways to increase your existing spaces, there are a number of home improvements that you can make to make your home feel roomier.

Make your rooms multifunctional

Its beneficial combining functions of two rooms into one- spaces where you can enjoy extra space, even if they are only small rooms. A well functioning home is one that can adapt to the ever-changing needs of family life so flexibility of the spaces are important.

Look for dead spaces that can easily be converted into storage solutions. Clever design and storage tricks, for example, under the stairs, you can build recessed shelving and cupboards as these spaces tend to be underutilised with the potential to maximise the spaces. Areas which are often unused or dark could be very useful storage spaces.

Reference ideas from smaller homes
